TAMPA – Andrei Vasilarceny struck again for the Lightning on Saturday.
In a game the Tampa Bay Lightning were on a bit of cruise control, it was Vasilevskiy that kept things under control – literally to the last second – to preserve a 4-3 victory against the Los Angeles Kings. Vasilevskiy, who picked up his league-leading 32nd victory of the season, stopped 44 shots on the night including a one-timer from Drew Doughty off a faceoff with 0.6 seconds remaining in the third period.
And Vasilevskiy made a save-of-the-year-candidate stop on Anze Kopitar in the opening period that has to be seen to be believed as the Lightning netminder stole the show on Vinny Lecavalier jersey retirement night.
