Third period meltdown costs Tampa Bay Lightning a perfect road trip

PHILADELPHIA - Wells Fargo Center through the years has been a welcoming place for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Entering Tuesday, Tampa Bay carried an eight-game winning streak in Philadelphia with them.

Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, who earned his first career NHL victory in Philadelphia, had the Flyers number at WFC. Vasilevskiy entered Tuesday with a 7-2 record on the road against the Flyers with a .943 save percentage with a 1.78 goals against average and two shutouts.

By the end of Tuesday's game, however, none of that mattered. Past prosperity does not translate to future success....
