TAMPA – The path along Redemption Road for the Tampa Bay Lightning was far from smooth.
It looked more like a gravel road filled with dips, drops and rocks. And at times it felt like the Lightning were rolling down the road in a Tin Lizzie.
But if the journey down a thousand roads filled with obstacles makes reaching the destination a more rewarding experience, well, the Lightning are the richest team in pro sports after capturing the second Stanley Cup championship in franchise history following a 2-0 victory against the Dallas Stars in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final.
