CHICAGO - Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper is the master of sending subtle messages.
When the Lightning lost in St. Louis on Tuesday, suffering a third consecutive loss and being shutout for the second consecutive game, Cooper delivered one of those messages. As usual, it was subtle. It didn't stand out in his postgame comments. There was no paint being torn off the walls.
But make no mistake, he was sending a message for his team to hear.
