TAMPA – Preseason results remain meaningless.
Wins. Losses. Shootouts. They don't mean anything.
The preseason is for prospects looking to win jobs. Veterans seeking a return to the rhythm of a season and timing of the game.
And for coaches and general managers continually knocking on wood, throwing salt over their left shoulder or anything else to ward off bad luck might fill some of the time while getting things ready behind the scenes.
