TAMPA - A late-season meeting with the Dallas Stars, a sixth showdown in a Stanley Cup Final rematch, proved to be the right timing for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
In the first game since clinching a playoff berth the Lightning faced a Dallas squad battling just to try to get in to the postseason. After Thursday's morning skates, Tampa Bay head coach Jon Cooper talked about facing a team that would playing with desperation and how that should raise the Lightning's level going into the game.
