TAMPA - At one point around the middle of Thursday's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Columbus Blue Jackets, the game needed a large dose of something with caffeine.
There was even a point during the game that the damn cannon normally housed on the concourse inside Nationwide Arena might have been a welcome sound to jolt some life into Amalie Arena and the game on the ice.
But that's fine with the Blue Jackets who are capable of clogging the middle of the ice as if it were a shower drain filled with shedding hair and requires a full bottle of Drano to open up a path.
