TAMPA - Steven Stamkos slid to the slot and unleashed the Thunder.
It was not the booming shot that generally thunders off of the captain's stick that brought forth the roar, but rather the result of a happy homecoming for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Back on home ice for just the second time in more than three weeks, the Lightning battled and fought in front of the home fans and brought them to their feet in a finale worthy of a standing ovation.
"I love when we score in overtime, because that's the thunder,'' Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said. "You can really hear it.''
