Andrei Vasilevskiy’s return to Tampa Bay Lightning overshadowed by the league record the team set

RALEIGH, N.C. - Winter is not quite upon.

The day after Thanksgiving, though, does officially kick off the Christmas season and the Tampa Bay Lightning built the first snowman to kick things off.

But just like trying to build a snowman in Florida, how the Lightning got to the result on Friday just didn't make any sense. Because the storyline of the night was supposed the return of goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy. Instead, the Lightning made NHL history and Nikita Kucherov accomplished something no other forward has done in franchise history while tying a team record.
