MONTREAL - For eleven years, Matt Tomkins dreamed.
For the past few years, those dreams felt as if they would never be fulfilled. Reality began to take over.
On Tuesday, in one of hockey's cathedrals and 4,154 days since he was drafted, Tomkins soaked in the feeling of his dream becoming reality. Tomkins recorded his first NHL victory as the Tampa Bay Lightning closed out a four-game road trip with a 5-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre.
