TAMPA – Pilfering though some belongings ahead of a moving day, 7-year-old Landon Girardi came across a pair of pajamas sporting the logo of the New York Rangers.
The oldest of Dan Girardi’s two children looked at his father and quickly pointed out, “We can throw these out, we don’t need them anymore.’’
If there were any lingering concerns about Girardi’s family feeling uprooted ahead of making the move from the New York Rangers, where Girardi played his entire career until he was bought out in June, to the Tampa Bay Lightning they were quickly squelched.
