TAMPA – A picture may be worth a thousand words but the images on the new mask of Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Curtis McElhinney might leave one speechless.
McElhinney unveiled the new design during practice on Thursday, forcing teammate Mathieu Joseph to do a double take.
"Honestly I saw him step out on the ice for the first time today and I thought we had another goalie at first,'' Joseph said. "But it looks really good on him.''
