BRANDON - The Tampa Bay Lightning open the curtain on the 2018-19 season on Saturday when they host the Florida Panthers at 7 p.m. at Amalie Arena.
As the players emerge from the locker room tunnel for pregame introductions, there will be a plethora of familiar faces. After losing to the Washington Capitals in seven games in the Eastern Conference finals, the Lightning made no additions to the roster over the summer – or at least that’s how it appears on the surface.
But in reality, the Lightning did make a significant change, it just came seven months ago.
