TAMPA - Mathieu Joseph made his NHL debut during the Tampa Bay Lightning season opening shootout victory against the Florida Panthers on Saturday.
The second year pro earned a roster spot with his strong showing during training camp and in preseason, getting the attention of the coaching staff and management. His speed, tenacity and energy were very evident through preseason as he led the team with four goals and eight points.
