TAMPA – The Tampa Bay Lightning made no noise at the trade deadline.
All was quiet at the top of the Eastern front.
And by remaining silent in making possible changes to the roster, general manager Julien BriseBois delivered his message loud and clear.
The Lightning are enjoying a regular season for the ages. On almost a nightly basis they seemingly reach some sort of benchmark reached only by some of the elite teams in NHL history. They sit 17 points clear of the second place team in the Atlantic Division. Tampa Bay is 13 points ahead of the second place team in the league.
