TAMPA – The Tampa Bay Lightning play their first meaningful game in months on Monday.
During practice on Saturday a big piece of the roster returned to the ice. But another one was notably absent, again.
The Lightning have emerged into the NHL Return to Play Stanley Cup Playoffs (Tournament?) as the odds-on favorite to claim the title by enough of the oddsmakers to make Lightning fans sweat with nervousness.
When the body of work over the past six years is taken into account, no team has had the success the Lightning have enjoyed since 2104 without winning a Stanley Cup.
