Months and months of work, time and preparation built up to a crescendo filled with excitement, anticipation and expectation.
And just like that, it was over. A season filled with hope, promise and a strong belief that this was the year to reach the ultimate goal felt like it ran smack in to a 12-inch thick brick wall.
It’s over. And just like that, the stark reminder of just how hard it is to win a Stanley Cup comes with it.
