TAMPA – On the first day of NHL free agency, which came around the same time the regular season normally got underway, the Tampa Bay Lightning made all kinds of noise with very little movement.
While the Lightning did not make any of the anticipated trades that will need to be made in order to alleviate the salary cap crunch the team is up again, they did make a handful of signings - two at the NHL level and two for depth.
