DALLAS – Another Tampa Bay Lightning draft weekend bolted by on Saturday and and after sitting idle for round one without a selection, the scouting staff led by Al Murray went to work with Tampa Bay’s remaining seven picks in the 2018 draft.
Once again, it was a relatively quiet weekend for general manager Steve Yzerman and his staff as the Lightning simply made their picks, adding seven more players to an already stocked farm system, with little fanfare or splash.
The Lightning made no roster changes, no trades or little rumblings of deals. But Tampa Bay’s name did pop up on the league radar ...
