TAMPA – The Tampa Bay Lightning formally returned to the ice on Tuesday, though it was anything but normal.
As the National Hockey League officially moved in to Phase 2 of the Return to Play format, the Lightning had multiple groups take part in the voluntary on-ice workouts in team facilities. And while it resembled more of a pre-training camp workout, it proved an important step to getting back to game play.
And for the first time since the Lightning dropped a 2-1 decision in Toronto on March 10 there was video of Lightning players working together, giving a sense of hope of what might come ...
