BRANDON – Tampa Bay begins the seven-game preseason schedule tonight when the Lightning host the Carolina Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m.
Typically the first few games of the postseason feature lineups more focused on the future with lines filled with junior prospects and young players looking to make their mark.
While that is certainly the case with Carolina, which is bringing No. 2 overall pick Andrei Svechnikov to Tampa, the Lightning are going the other direction, putting a more potent and veteran-laden lineup on the ice in front of the home fans.
