Already missing one top player, the Tampa Bay Lightning are now staring down the potential long-term loss of another key performer.
Left wing Ondrej Palat returned to Tampa on Sunday for further evaluation after leaving Saturday’s game with 10:18 remaining in a loss at Minnesota. Palat was able to leave the ice under his own power, but the nature of the injury offers some cause for concern that Palat will miss a significant amount of time.
Updated on Jan. 22 Palat was diagnosed with a lower body injury and will miss 6-8 weeks.
