Tampa Bay Lightning make key moves at trade deadline

TAMPA - The Tampa Bay Lightning headed into the trade deadline trying to fill a caviar diet on a sardine budget.

With the injury to defenseman Mikhail Sergachev, the Lightning had the salary cap space to help fill any needs the felt needed to be addressed. But because of previous trade deadlines, Tampa Bay didn't quite have the trade capital to work with.

It was quite the deadline conundrum for Julien BriseBois and his staff to work through leading up to Friday's deadline.
