TAMPA - With center depth a bit more shallow this season, and Brayden Point still out until at least the end of the month, the Tampa Bay Lightning added some veteran experience in the middle on Tuesday.
Tampa Bay currently has four natural centers on the NHL roster, but added nearly 600 games of experience to the team with an unexpected waiver claim.
The Lightning acquired 32-year-old center Riley Nash off waivers from the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. Nash is expected to join the team in Toronto ahead of Thursday's meeting with the Maple Leafs.
