TAMPA – The Tampa Bay Lightning returned home from Washington, D.C., on Friday, bringing an important pair of road victories packed in their bags.
Perhaps, given the identity of how the Eastern Conference finals have played out to date with the series tied 2-2, they should keep their bags packed, head to a hotel for the night and then head to Amalie Arena for Saturday’s Game 5 against the Washington Capitals.
That might be the best way to treat a home game as if it’s a road tilt, because the road team has found the opposing building to be right at home.
