Ahead of the NHL trade deadline, and after missing out on defenseman Noah Hanifan, the Tampa Bay Lightning made a trade in-game to acquire forward Anthony Duclair from the San Jose Sharks along with a seventh-round pick in the 2025 draft. The Lightning sent defenseman Jack Thompson and a third round pick in 2024.
