TAMPA – The Lightning did not go deep into the free agent pool on the opening day of free agency, but did address two voids.
The Lightning were quick to add a needed depth goaltender to the organization, filling at least two immediate needs at the position and adding a third.
And, as was reported late Sunday night, Tampa Bay also added depth on defense with the signing of former top five pick, defenseman Luke Schenn, to a one-year deal. while bringing back Luke Witkowski on a two-year, two-way contract.
