Tampa Bay Lightning to open rookie camp on Sept. 7

Offer sheets? Free agency? Trades to be made? It’s all on the table as window opens at noon.

TAMPA – The clock strikes midnight at noon on Friday for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
In order to open up the necessary salary cap space to put together a full roster for the 2020-21 season, Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois needs to move out some popular and productive players.
And, in order to minimize the threat of an potential offer sheet to Tampa Bay's three high profile restricted free agents, the Lightning need as much available cap space as possible. The free agency window opens at 12 p.m. ET.
