BRANDON – Hockey life for Nolan Foote seems to finally be settling down to a more normal pace.
In the span of five days, Foote went from nervous uncertainty to an NHL first-round pick in Vancouver to flying to Tampa for development camp to signing his first professional contract.
After a few frantic and frenzied days, Foote finally returned to the ice on Wednesday for his first official day in a Tampa Bay Lightning sweater, taking part in power skating drills at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon as part of the team's annual summer development camp.
