TAMPA – By the time the sixth intermission rolled around during Tuesday's epic marathon, Kevin Shattenkirk did not even want to sit down in the locker room.
"I found it, personally, as we got deeper in to the overtimesiIt almost was worse coming to the locker room and sitting down and not being active and kind of seizing up a little bit,'' Shattenkirk said on Wednesday, less than 16 hours after logging over 42 minutes of ice time in a game that last 150 minutes, 27 seconds.
