TAMPA – With the piles of now unwrapped presents packed away, it's time for the Tampa Bay Lightning to focus on the present.
The post-Christmas schedule presents quite the challenge for a Lightning team looking to crawl out from under the cloud which has hovered overhead since they were swept out of the playoff last season.
In a season that has been consistently inconsistent, the next three weeks ahead of the bye-week/All-Star break might go a long way to determining what the season may hold for Tampa Bay.
Come through clean, the season looks much better. Continue to stutter and, well . . .
