TAMPA – The sound of swishing skates skimming across the ice remains mostly silent.
The pounding of pucks clanging off boards and end zone glass feels like a distant memory at this point.
With the league on pause since March 12, hockey fans have been held only to replays to remember those sights and sounds associated with the game. It may not be until the tail end of summer before those sounds return to prevalence to signal the return of NHL action.
