Looking to avoid streak-ending slump, Tampa Bay Lightning “pissed” off after first loss in five weeks

TAMPA – The streak is dead. Long live the streak.
For the first time in five weeks, the Tampa Bay Lightning enter a game having come off a regulation loss when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.
Tampa Bay’s loss to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday marked the first time the Lightning failed to pick up a point in a game since Nov. 27, ending 15-0-1 run that launched the Lightning to the top of the NHL standings.
Now the question turns from “how do they keep the streak alive” to “how do they avoid the letdown’’ that tends to follow these type of extended streaks.
