TAMPA – As the sports world struggled to find a path to return to play, players wound up stuck in the middle.
No group of hockey players were held in more limbo than those who played in the Ontario Hockey League, which shut down in March 2020 and has yet to resume games. While other leagues found a way to get back to action, even in a limited capacity, the OHL never formulated a plan that satisfied health officials in the province to allow teams to play.
