BRANDON – The Tampa Bay Lightning wrapped up a Monday practice at the TGH IcePlex and headed to the airport, debarking on an 11-day trip away from home.
The readjusted schedule shifted a previously scheduled Monday game between Tampa Bay and Dallas at Amalie Arena was moved to April 29 as games were shuffled around.
So instead, the team departed to Dallas where they will open up a six-game road trip on Tuesday against the Stars before going to Chicago for three games and concluding with a pair in Detroit next week. It is the longest road trip of the truncated season.
