TAMPA – One week after reporting for training camp, the Tampa Bay Lightning wrapped up camp with the final intrasquad scrimmage inside Amalie Arena on Sunday.
In this truncated camp, the Lightning spent just six days on the ice, took part in no preseason games and played only two intrasquad games.
It offered very little time to prepare for the start of the season, which comes on Wednesday when the Chicago Blackhawks come to Amalie Arena for the first of two scheduled games between the teams. Rosters decisions are now being made before final rosters are due to the league on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
