TAMPA – The Tampa Bay Lightning opened up training camp on Thursday.
The team welcomed back many familiar faces that have become synonymous with the franchise – Steven Stamkos, Victor Hedman, Ryan Callahan, Tyler Johnson, etc.
There was also something else very familiar surrounding the team on reporting day – expectations.
Tampa Bay once again enters the season among the favorites to compete and capture the Stanley Cup. Reaching three Eastern Conference finals and a Cup Final in a four-year stretch will do that to a team.
And this season is no different.
