BRANDON - For the better part of the past six years, Gabriel Fortier put forth the same effort on the ice which made him a second draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2018.
All Fortier knows is hard work, on the ice, off the ice. It proved part of the attraction when the Lightning were at the draft table in Dallas when Tampa Bay made their first selection.
Along the way since, Fortier climbed the depth chart, took on top minutes with Syracuse in the American Hockey League which led to his first NHL call up last season when he made his debut in St. Louis on November 30.
