TAMPA – Pardon the pun, but when it comes to Tampa Bay’s 2014 third-round draft pick, the Lightning continue to prove they were right on Point.
Were they ever right.
In just his third year as a professional hockey player, Brayden Point continues to grow and emerge as an elite player in the NHL.
Arguments are already being made that Point belongs in the upper-echelon of two-way forwards in the league, in the company of Patrice Bergeron, Anze Kopitar and Jonathan Toews as centers who take on the tough defensive assignments yet flourish offensively at the same time.
Those arguments are warranted ...
