As Corey Perry returns to Anaheim again in a top line role, quest for another Cup fuels his drive

ANAHEIM- After 14 years as a stalwart in Anaheim, the Ducks parted ways with Corey Perry following the 2018-19 season.
A Stanley Cup winner, league MVP, 50-goal scorer in his time in Southern California, the Ducks bought out the final two years of Perry's eight-year, $69 million contract.
In the three seasons since leaving Anaheim, Perry has been driven by a pursuit of a second Stanley Cup. In the previous two years, Perry reached the Stanley Cup Final - with Dallas in 2020 and Montreal in 2021 - only to lose both times to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
