TAMPA – If the Tampa Bay Lightning have been really, really good this year, they might just receive a welcome present underneath their Christmas tree this year – the return of goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy.
The team officially announced on Friday that Vasilevskiy suffered a fracture in his left foot and will miss between 4-6 weeks. The far end of that timeline backs up to the Dec. 27-28 range when the team returns from the four-day break in the schedule around Christmas.
Until then, the crease belongs to Louis Domingue.
