TAMPA – All things considered, the Lightning likely dodged a bullet on the status of defenseman Victor Hedman.
With fears of a potentially long-term knee injury swirling around after Hedman left Thursday’s game against Calgary, the Lightning announced on Friday that Hedman suffered an undisclosed lower body injury and will be out anywhere from 3-6 weeks.
Things could have been a whole lot worse.
