Last season it was feast or famine in the Atlantic. It was the only NHL Division that had three teams (Tampa, Boston and Toronto) reach 105 points or more. It also had four of the six teams with less than 75 points in the NHL with Detroit, Montreal, Ottawa and Buffalo bringing up the divisional rear.
The only oddity team-wise was the Florida Panthers who finished one point out of the playoffs with 96 points. Clearly, this is the helter-skelter division of the league.
