TAMPA – The Tampa Bay Lightning reached the unofficial midway point of their season by closing things down with an impressive victory against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
While officially the Lightning reached the halfway point back on Jan. 3 in Los Angeles with Game No. 41, Tampa Bay hits an extended break on the schedule with the “bye week’’ bleeding into the All-Star Break. The next game on the schedule comes Jan. 30 in Pittsburgh while the next home game is not until Feb. 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
The full team will not be together again until Jan. 28 for a practice.
